On Sunday, the 29th at 5pm, Untouchable held their mini concert at Hongdae, Seoul. And as the proud supporter of Sleepy, Hwayobi came as a guest and shared a song together with her beloved younger boyfriend.

The song they sang is Alicia Key’s “If I ain’t got you”, which got a lot of praises from the audience as they shared a sweet moment on stage together. Sleepy offered a kiss as he leaned towards Hwayobi. She caught the gesture in surprise, but with a sweet smile on her face, as Sleepy kissed her tenderly. She went a little panic and shy, but happy nonetheless.

Some of the audience are caught off-guard as they saw these two sharing a kiss, and asked, “Why are they kissing?!” And Hwayobi answered proudly that they are indeed dating. And on the first question asked about who fell for whom first, Hwayobi proudly said that she fell for him first.

Hwayobi said, “Usually the invited guests need to show some kindness (appreciation), but since it’s me, it might me too obvious (laughs). So I’ll repay him with a song.”

After their confession through online, both of they have expressed proudly that they are in love and happy with each other. Sleep also said that he’s indeed in a good relationship with Hwayobi. They also had picked a sweet term of endearment for each other (”Honey” and “Baby”)

Meanwhile, on the mini concert, Untouchable invited a few hip-hop musicians and performed a number of their songs for the fans.

MBC variety ‘We Got Married’ is currently into its 3rd generation of make-believe celebrity couples.

Rumours have been floating around on Korean online noticeboards that we may be in for more participation from male idol singers for the upcoming 4th generation.

Hwanhee - Hwayobi, Marco - Son Dambi Exiting We Got Married?

First and foremost, nothing has been confirmed by MBC nor the We Got Married PDs. So until then, just treat the following as just something possible.

Popular MBC variety show We Got Married is about to usher in another era of change starting with a replacement of the existing couples and also seeking to increase the entertainment value of the show. The 2 existing couples who will be dropped from the show are Son Dambi - Marco and Hwayobi - Hwanhee whose popularity have been steadily decreasing since September 2008.

They will make way for the Seollal couples, JunJin - Lee Si Young, Shin Sung Rok - Kim Shin Young, Jung Hyung Don - Tae Yeon who had appeared for a test run on the 25th January New Year episode. Son Dambi - Marco and Hwayobi - Hwanhee final appearance on the show will be 8th February (tentative).

This will constitute the 3rd generation for We Got Married, which had started originally with Alex - Shin Ae, Crown J - Seo In Young, Andy - Solbi and Jung Hyung Don - Saori. Other couples who came on board during this period include Lee Hwi Jae - Jo Yeo Jeong and Kim Hyun Joong - Hwang Bo. Marco - Son Dambi and Hwanhee - Hwayobi joined the show as the second generation of couples with the Seollal couples making up the 3rd generation of couples.

The new couples, compared to the previous couples, have stronger personalities. JunJin - Lee Si Young will experience unusual situations with their unpredictable actions; Jung Hyung Don - Tae Yeon will play out the concept of ‘the beauty and the beast’ with their 11-year age gap; Shin Sung Rok - Kim Shin Young storyline will focus on grabbing the attention of the female viewers.

Other changes include increasing the entertainment value of the show. In the past, the show primary focus had been on showing the regular family life of the couples and was criticized by some viewers for being too boring (I don’t really think so). In order to change that, the appearance cycle of couples will now be drastically reduced to 3 - 4 weeks instead of 4 - 5 months previously.

The program PDs said, “During this time, we have been working on a reality concept with no scripts. From now on, we will try to produce a more entertaining and interesting show. We will also try to create more interesting scenarios every week (does this mean an even more scripted show?).”

Who Is The Bride For JunJin on We Got Married New Year Special?

My love for this show lessen SO MUCH ever since Ssangchu's departure..
Although I watch old videos frequently.. Ep 01 - 38.. but nothing of Season 2 couples interest me..

The new PD is trying so hard for the ratings.. Honestly.. its like a gone case for WGM.. Kangin and Yoonji couple failed to bring the ratings up..
Forget about Hyung Don and Tae Yeon.. Negative ratings were more than positive ones..
And now.. JunJin is entering.. o.O
Maybe they should try Kyu Jong and Yoo Bin? This should be the only key to rise up the ratings.. But its impossible since SS501 is leaving to Japan for work soon and WonderGirls should be busy too..

Now I wonder what is WGM lifespan.

Not only will you see the new couple of Jung Hyung Don and Tae Yeon next week, it was also previewed in today’s episode of MBC We Got Married that JunJin will also be appearing in the New Year special on 25th January.

We Got Married finally aired its 41st episode today after an absence of 2 weeks due to the MBC union strike against the new media laws being passed by the Lee Myung Bak administration. This episode also saw the Ant couple making their exit but what shocked fans/viewers was seeing JunJin appearing in the previews inside a church as the background. But MBC smartly blurred out the image of his bride which heightened the curiousity of viewers.

The PDs expressed, “We aren’t sure if JunJin will continue beyond the New Year special. But we are definitely keeping the identity of his bride a secret until the actual broadcast.” Many are thus curious and concerned on whether JunJin will become part of the permanent cast on We Got Married in future which includes Son Dambi - Marco, Hwanhee - Hwayobi and Kangin - Lee Yoon Ji.

Actually, before Jung Hyung Don and Tae Yeon was pencilled in for We Got Married, JunJin had been mooted as a candidate at the same time Kangin and Lee Yoon Ji was picked. So it looks like JunJin is still in contention afterall. Some netizens are speculating that the bride could be Shin Bong Seon.

Tae Yeon and Jung Hyun Dong Confirmed for We Got Married

Kim Tae Yeon will join MBC We Got Married variety. And from the headline and picture, you can see that it’s not with JunJin. Never saw this coming!

On the 7th, a staff from the show confirmed that Tae Yeon has joined We Got Married as a regular and will partner Jung Hyung Don. Tae Yeon and Jung Hyung Don have already filmed their first episode together on the 5th. The shooting took place despite the on-going MBC workers union strike.

Hyung Don has a checkered history on the show. He started off being a couple with Saori, got “divorced” and then became the host on the show. Then he was later arranged to live in with Crown J and Seo In Young for a family concept. And just when it seems like he was at a crossroad with their impending departure, he will continue on the show in this new setup with Tae Yeon.

Tae Yeon who is the leader of So Nyeo Shi Dae, one of the nation’s top girl groups, has bright and cute charms. There is thus a lot of interest to see just how her and Jung Hyung Don, who has developed a everyone- hates-me personality on the show, will mesh together as a couple. The first episode with Tae Yeon and Jung Hyung Don will air towards the end of this month.

SM-JYP-YG take on the world in the new year 2009

As we enter into a new year 2009, we see the Big 3 entertainment companies SM-JYP-YG take their turns to venture into overseas market.

But who will be the big winner at the end of the day?

In 2009, we will continue to see SM Entertainment sending his singers like BoA, Dong Bang Shin Ki and Super Junior out of Korea to promote in other countries.

But with YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment announcing their plans for entering into overseas market at the same time, fans are interested in how all these adventures out of Korea will turn out.

SM Entertainment

For one, it is pretty obvious that Lee Soo Man is aiming at all singers’ dream stage - America, and also the world’s 2nd largets music market Japan.

Already, last October, ‘Asia’s Star’ BoA had released her debut America single. Since then, she has appeared on numerous concert performance, and in the coming March, she will also be releasing her debut American album. BoA was introduced as the ‘Korea’s Britney Spears’ by the American media.

Dong Bang Shin Ki, who had their first appearance on NHK Red And White SongFest last year, 2009 is another busy year for them. They will be releasing a new Japanese single ‘Bolero’ in January, and releasing a full Japanese album in March. The 4 Japanese singles they released last year had all achieved #1 on the Oricon chart. More anticipation into the more breakthroughs they will achieve in the new year.

YG Entertainment

And for YG Entertainment, singer Se7en will be also be working on his American debut album the first half of the year with the producer of singers like TLC and Beyonce. Anticipation to how Se7en, who was introduced by the American media as ‘Korea’s Justin Timberlake’ will do in the American market after more than 2 years of preparation for it.

Big Bang is also another group who will be working towards the title of the ‘Asian Star’. They will be releasing and promoting a full Japanese album coming summer after their previous promotion in Japan for single ‘With U’ released last November.

JYP Entertainment

Park Jin Young has several times gave empty talk to debut Im Jung Hee, GSoul and Min in America, revealed in a recent press interview that he will devote his time and attention to entering the American market in this year.

He has also revealed that he will helping ‘world star’ Rain with the release of his American debut album at the end of the year.

The staff and the production team to Rain’s American debut album has not been revealed yet. But news have it that there will be a duet song with top female pop star.

This is exciting news especially that Rain has already participated in several Hollywood production movies like ‘Speed Racer’ and ‘Ninja Assassin’. Fans have their eyes set on how his American debut album will be received.

‘Stylish’ is #1 on online charts even with no promotional activities

Now, this is Big Bang we are talking about.

Group Big Bang’s new song ‘Stylish’ is #1 on download charts even without any special promotional activities.

Mnet.com released it’s mp3 download chart for the period of 29th December to 4th January and Big Bang’s ‘Stylish’ was the newcomer on the chart and also #1 position on it. Also on Cyworld.com, the song jumped straight to #1 position after it was released.

The song ‘Stylish’ was released online on 30th December and had received heated interests from music fans. And what’s more is that the song was not even performed and promoted on any broadcast programs.

A YG representative said, “The song ‘Stylish’ is a song that is good enough to be performed on stage. This is not just mere curiosity to the song but there has been a steady increase in the interest amongst music fans for it.”

Meanwhile, Big Bang will be having their ‘209 Big Show’ concert in SEoul Olympic stadium on 30th January.
