Popular group SS501 becomes exclusive models for Le Coq Sportif

5-member popular group SS501 officially becomes models for France's leisure-wear brand, Le Coq Sportif.

Le Coq Sportif, a French leisure-wear brand highly popular among youngsters, has signed a 6-months model contract with Kim Hyun Joong, who became a superstar due to his role in Boys Over Flower, as well as the members of his group, SS501, who're also popular Korean idols.

Previous models for Le Coq Sportif were foreigners, and this is the first time they've chosen to work with Korean artists to be their models and spokesperson. Foreign stars have always been chosen as the brand stresses on its image as France's authentic leisure-wear for youngsters. The unprecedented choice of using SS501 as models is due to their unique individual characteristics, and their strong personality, which fits the brand's image.

A representative from Le Coq Sportif said, "All the members each have their individual charm, including Kim Hyun Joong's lazy yet unique charisma. This fits our brand's orientation very well." "They're not only Korea's best looking boys, they also have an unique fashion sense, so we look forward to SS501 bringing a different sense of style to our brand."

Le Coq Sportif has already completed filming the first advertisement for SS501 in mid April. That was the first time the members had met up to work together after a long time, so they were more united, eager and energetic. The members had also taken polaroid photos themselves, which will be used in the brand's advertisements.
